Original letter written by Bill Wiswell announcing Master Nakamura's death in the fall of 1969 and Taika Seiyu Oyata's subsequent return to Okinawa.

1972

 

Original Letter written by  Taika Oyata from Okinawa giving permission to form first U.S. organization making Taika Supreme Instruor, Albert Geraldi President, Jim Logue and Bill Wiswell Directors, and permission to issue Certificates of Rank.

Summer of 1974

 

Albert Geraldi, Bill Wiswell, Jim Logue, Starr Carter met at Albert's house for a meeting before  picking Taika up at La Guardia Airport.

 

Taika first sanctioned name "Ryukyu Kempo."  He was anxious to see Jim Logue's Dojo in S.C., after a brief visit he returned to Okinawa.

 

May 14, 1977

 

Officially Stamped Certificate of Rank 6th Dan awarded to Albert Geraldi by Taika Oyata during his visit to Geraldi's Long Island Dojo upon returning permantently to Merriam, Kansas area.

June 23-26, 1977

 

Original Sworn Affidavits of character reference from Master Seikichi Uehara, Master Seitoku Higa, Master Shihan Toma, and Master Kentaku Kanisuro for Master Oyata's visa petition.

October 27, 1977

 

Taika's Date of Notice of Approval for Immigrant Visa Petition or Extension of Stay.

October 19, 1980

 

Officially Stamped Certificate of Rank 7th Dan awarded to Albert Geraldi by Supreme Instructor Seikichi Uehara, President Seiyu Oyata, and Vice President Shihan Toma, Ryukyu Karate-Do League.

1984

 

Officially Stamped Certificate of Rank 8th Dan awarded to Albert Geraldi by Taika Seiyu Oyata.

October 13, 1994

 

Honorarium Letter postmarked September 22, 1994 for acceptance into Oyata Shin Shu Ho Ryu.
